KDR 2024

Background

Established in 2015, the KDR Well Engineering Forum quickly emerged as the premier congregation of drilling and production specialists in Kazakhstan and the surrounding regions. The forum has experienced exponential growth and popularity, culminating in its return to Astana in 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic. Last year the organising committee took the event on the road for the first time, to the Mangystau region - noted as one of the most important oil producing regions in the country.

The forum is organised by KazOilTechnology Center and Talek Group in alliance with the National Company KazMunayGas and KMG Engineering, Zhigermunaiservice and KazPetroDrilling setting unprecedented standards in delegate quality. KDR 2024

As an event by the industry, for the industry, it is an honor to see how many industry leaders have become fully invested in the ongoing growth of the KDR. After a successful year in Aktau, KDR 2024 returned to the Rixos Astana, reaffirming its status as the home of the forum. The event brought together the brightest minds from national and international operators, drilling, service, and technology companies, facilitating the exchange of groundbreaking knowledge and innovative technology. We are excited to confirm that KDR will return to the Rixos Astana in 2025 to celebrate our 10th anniversary, marking a decade of collaboration, progress, and industry leadership.

The KDR Well Engineering Forum is a one-day event that showcases an array of technologies, each curated for roundtable discussions, in-depth case study presentations, and interactive Q&A sessions. These sessions highlight selected technologies, services, and key regional developments, and are spearheaded by national and international operators. KDR is more than just a conference; it’s an immersive platform where experts from national company KMG, KMG Engineering, and prominent regional operators and service companies come together. The goal? To share best practices, delve into the latest regional advancements, enhance efficiency throughout the well-engineering cycle, and foster lasting professional connections.
